The System
The APMON is a complete system which counts and measures depositing particles. The sensor contains an optical system which provides a reliable view of the particle deposition on the surface of the work area (this includes metal and plastic particles). These measurements are send to the base unit through a wireless connection. The base unit sends automatically a report to the user interface, installed on your own computer, which is easy to use. In case of a norm exceeding, the APMON sends an alarm: seen on the sensor itself and through the user interface. This proces repeats itself every ten minutes, so you're always aware of the current contamination status in your cleanroom.
The design of the APMON is an important advantage. It is compact, completely wireless and can be placed very near to (or even on) the working area, for the most accurate measurements. The material is suitable for cleanroom use and is easy to clean.
The basic system of the APMON consists of one sensor, a base unit and an user friendly user interface. It is possible to add up to 6 sensors per base unit, so multiple locations can be measured at once while it accounts in one clear rapport.
Every 10 minutes both particle size and increase in number are scanned on a measurement surface of 60cm2. The base unit analyses the results to determine if alarm thresholds are exceeded.
Using a compact design, the APMON sensor can be placed near critical production areas, to provide early insight in (possible) contamination sources which can result in a quick response.
